Feng Shui Cures for Sleep.
For many years I struggled to get a decent nights sleep. The reasons behind it are many if you read my bio you already know that I spent many years in a career that was high stress and full of anxiety coupled with the devastating passing of my mother I was a perfect recipe for insomnia. Between the nightmares that plagued me and the short stints of sleep that would last for only a few hours it was a wonder that I kept my sanity at all. For the better part of a year a my friend Rose would tell me constantly that I needed to get more balance in my life or I was headed for a nervous breakdown and that was when she introduced me to the concept of Feng Shui. I was amazed when I started putting cures in place in my bedroom how much my quality of sleep improved. Not only was I getting more sleep I felt more relaxed and centered. The first step I took was to remove all the pictures of family and one big image of a beach side hut facing a brilliant blue ocean. The only two pictures that I kept were of my husband and I in a loving embrace. Pictures in your bedroom of water will promote insomnia and attract bad luck. The second step I always follow religously is to make sure that all doors including my closet remain closed at night because this will encourage good health and further enhance a sense of calm. I never ever store anything under my bed but if space is a consideration never store shoes or work papers under your bed or you may find a restful nights sleep trying to run out the door. Positioning of my bed also played a key, my bed used to sit under a window until I found out that subconciously and symbollicaly that this encourages a lack of support now my bed is backing on to a solid wall facing but not across from my bedroom door. The key is to remember that your bedroom is your sanctuary from the outside world so everything that is put in this space should represent calm relaxtion.
