The Heart Of The Home.

With Christmas fast approaching I am spending alot of time in my kitchen, which leads me to what I wanted to blog about today. My Kitchen happens to be located in the prosperity area of the bagua map and is in my opinion the most important part of the home.  Our Kitchen presented a few challenges when we first purchased our home, because of the layout and limited counterspace we had to get creative to promote good chi. Here are a few of the tips I have followed that  work really well because all of our family and friends in fact anyone who ever enters our house is drawn to the kitchen.
1. If your stove is located in an area where you will have your back to the entrance of the kitchen like mine is place a mirror behind the stove. It is considered bad feng shui to have your back to the entrance of the kitchen because Qi or negative energy can attack you from behind. A mirror behind the stoves top burners will also magnify wealth. Some experts also say that hanging a multifaceted crystal will stabilize Qi energy
2. Keep all of your appliances clean and in good working order. If you have a broken appliance then you are probably broke too.
3.Get rid of any clutter in cupboards or on countertops. Prosperity and clutter cannot coexist. My countertops have nothing on them except a black wooden box with purple flowers which represents abundant intentions.
4. Choose your colors wisely. What kind of a statement are you trying to make. When I decided on a color pallet I wanted two things to promote a calm relaxed atmosphere and I wanted to support the wood and water element of the properity gua. Some experts say that white is a really good color choice because white represents purity.
